款识：“大清嘉庆年制”六字三行篆书款
嘉庆朝前期御窑厂瓷器烧造基本沿袭乾隆一朝，制瓷工艺依然保持较高水平，无论从瓷器的质量还是艺术水平来看，都几乎与乾隆朝无异。本品正是嘉庆朝早期御窑厂延续乾隆制瓷工艺之作，其艺术表现力不输前朝。炉均釉为雍正朝御窑仿钧器时所创，以低温烧就而成，为单色釉之名贵品种。《陶成记事碑》描述为‘色在广东窑与宜兴挂釉之间，而花纹流淌过之’，在其所载试配成功与通用的十九种釉水品种中，炉钧釉居首，颇受皇室青睐。传世所见多见雍正、乾隆御制，此式嘉庆海棠例实属罕例。
