此炉白玉质，有盖，玉质温润，局部带沁，抛光细腻，雕工精美。炉顶镂雕盘龙戏珠钮，龙首昂扬，额头凸起，双眼圆睁，须发皆张，有气吞千里之势。炉身与炉盖以子母口相合，口沿处饰三角回纹。炉身与炉盖阳雕饕餮纹，空白处饰回纹，纹饰繁复，雕工细致。两侧对雕朝冠耳，造型硬朗，线条流畅。下承兽首吞式三足，兽面形似“椒图”，威严肃穆，平添庄重之气。整器造型端正大雅，气度不凡，兼以上乘白玉整料雕成，包浆凝润，雕饰犷柔相济，堪称佳作。参阅：《故宫博物院藏品大系·玉器编10·清》，故宫博物院，2011年，图101
