此尊木胎弥勒佛又称布袋和尚，为五代时高僧，法名契此。以神异著称，常用杖背负一只布袋入市，故称为布袋和尚。这尊大肚弥勒佛坐像，结游戏姿，左手压一布袋口，轻抚左腿之上，右手持念珠，自然搭于右膝，神态悠闲。慈眉善目，笑容可掬，大肚便便，笑口常开，形象刻划生动写实，将弥勒佛逍遥自在、大肚能容的形象表现得极为到位。参阅：故宫藏弥勒坐像。
