棋盘呈正方形，紫檀边框，镶楠木板心。在楠木盘面嵌以两毫米粗细的黄花梨木罫线，纵横一十九条，三百六十一个交叉点，形成围棋棋盘格式，背面为象棋棋盘。此镶嵌工艺极其精细，不仅费工费时，还需匠师技艺精湛，令人叹服，非实物难以领略。此类棋盘的传世实物不常见。
