青花釉里红为清代较为难烧的瓷器品种，因钴料与铜红料在窑火内温度、气氛不易把握，二者颜色皆能完美烧成者，极为少见。本件梅瓶外壁以青花绘云纹，层次深浅清晰；釉里红绘五爪龙纹、火焰，发色鲜艳。龙身雄健壮硕，青花点睛，富有生气；爪牙锋利，气势磅礴，在满瓶云纹的衬托下更具豪壮，反映出当时时期制瓷绘画技术的高超水平，为不多见的佳作。
