|此无事牌取上等白玉为材，玉质温润，牌型大气方正。一面以如意纹做饰，篆书刻“紫香玉玦”，另一面饰一周不断回纹，无其它纹饰，故曰无事牌。|无事牌出自明末玉雕大师陆子冈之手。他雕刻的玉牌有许多，而其中就有这么一款玉牌表面是没有任何纹饰的。但正因为它的单调而与其他玉牌与众不同，而得到关注。人们认为它表面“无饰”与“无事”谐音，所以坚信着驱邪免灾、平安健康的寓意。后来有人把它命名为“平安无事牌”，并广流于世，深受民众喜爱。
