Description

铭文：“天鸡车尊” 尊喇叭口，背部有出戟装饰背羽，以内卷的尾羽和镂制的车轮为座。器体厚重，整个天鸡成站立形状，周身错银饰几何纹图案，通体洒金，纹饰错落，繁密精巧，华丽俊美，古朴盎然，栩栩如生。天鸡尊的造型未见于商周青铜器，南朝任昉《述异记》：“东南有桃都山，上有大树……上有天鸡，日初出，照此木，天鸡则鸣，天下鸡皆随之鸣”。最早为洛阳宋墓出土为例，作鸟负尊形，应为宋代对于《周礼》中鸡彝。据今日实物看来，宋、明时期仿古风之盛行，天鸡尊作为崇古情怀之具体念想， 才为皇家贵族以及文人士大夫所推崇，而制作流行开来。
