Decorated with volutes, snails, acanthus leaves, flowers and a three-dimensional putto with a globe as an allegory of science. The case marked "S. Germain" on top. Cambered, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Arabic minutes and decorated hands. Signed in black "AGERON A PARIS", also signed "Ageron a Paris" on the clockwork. Large brass movement with a 8 day running, half-hour striking on bell, thread suspension of the pendulum. Rest., minute age damages. Franconian private collection.
