释文：善政不以多言为辞，实学先从居敬入门。
说明：1.上款人吴伯年（1891－1975）民国时期天津著名画家，回族。工动物、人物，山水。取法任伯年，有“南任北吴”之说。水墨师承海派。为京津画派代表画家之一，人称津门任伯年，他的画作清逸，俊秀，人物，草虫，小兽在他的笔下栩栩如生。擅长画人物。兼长花鸟走兽，行笔洒脱，蜚声津门画坛。
2.三间房旧藏
马晋（1900-1970）字伯逸，号湛如，又号云湖，别名伯远，早年曾用名马锡麟，室名湛花馆，北京大兴人。1922年从金北楼学画，擅长画马，宗法郎世宁。兼擅花鸟画，又工书法、刻印，并工做风筝。解放前一直以卖画为生。解放后任北京画院画师。
款识：伯年先生大雅属。湛如马晋。
