莲花座，是寺院里佛像以莲花为宝座的名称。据传释迦牟尼和观世音菩萨颇爱莲花，用莲花为座，自此所有寺院里的佛像都是以莲花为宝座，称之为莲花座。 该件莲花底座色彩鲜艳，风格华丽。通体鎏金，台面上阴刻缠枝莲花纹，侧壁铸成凸起的浮雕。尽显乾隆朝造像精致奢华之风。
