Spanish school of the XVI century. "Crucified Christ". Carved, polychrome and gilded wood. Mounting and cross of the eighteenth century. Mirrors with cornucopias of the period. Measurements: 33 x 27 cm (cross); 81 x 31 cm (total). Round carving made of carved and polychromed wood, representing Christ Crucified, arranged on a cross and pedestal mount from the eighteenth century. This piece stands out for the naturalism and detail of its workmanship, where the author has demonstrated a polished technique that can be seen in the capture of the anatomy, especially the fingers and torso. It is a work of devotional character that gathers the representation of a crucifixion, reason why it has been captured with great dramatism, although contained because we are in front of a work made in the XVI century, previous to the Spanish baroque period. Flanking the gilded pedestal markedly architectural that elevates the whole set, there are two cornucopias of the period, with two mirrors in its center. Dimensions 33 x 27 cm (cross); 81 x 31 cm (total).
