TWO SAFAVID GOMBROON WARE BOWLS 17TH CENTURY Each with a raised central medallion painted in cobalt blue and black under a transparent glaze, the larger with stars and prongs, the smaller with swirls and petal-shaped flecks, the cavetti decorated with a pierced 'rice-grain' pattern, the rims with a series of black dots, both of shallow rounded form upon a short foot, 18.5cm and 18.2cm.
