|说明：如意取材于靠近根部的竹段，剖开截取后稍加弯煣成柄，柄首则取根部竹脐，似并未多加人工，直用其天然形态。|五千言《道德经》中，“朴”是一个极重要的概念。朴，《说文》中解释为“木素也”，即未加工的树木，老子则用“朴”来比喻“道”——见素（未染色的丝）抱朴，少私寡欲。在老子看来，治世之道应该“绝圣弃智、绝仁弃义、绝巧弃利”，人心和智慧加诸愈多，离“道”便愈远。|老子的思想深刻影响国人的世界观、人生观，乃至艺术审美。散朴为器，人工自不可少，而如果能达到浑然天成，丝毫不露人工痕迹，则最被推重，所谓“细巧易得，拙讷难求”。
