Dimensions 46,0 x 29,0 cm Medium 1200 g (approx) Notes Victor BOIVIN, Paris goldsmith based at the famous Hôtel de Montmorency. He succeeds his father, Jules Boivin (1862-1881). His brother, the jeweller René Boivin, did his apprenticeship as a goldsmith at Victor's workshop before founding his own fine jewellery company and marrying Jeanne Poiret, couturier Paul Poiret's sister. The Musée d'Orsay in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum in New York both keep artworks by Boivin in their collections
