铭文：“京马玉堂”“静而坚，端而方。所与者陈玄，为友者中书君。”
款识：“其昌”“董其昌”“正向䌽笺书大字，忽传御制写新诗。玄赏斋” 著录：《静妙轩芷研》P46-47 说明：砚式长方，取材澄泥，色呈蟹壳青，石质细腻，极易发墨。砚身厚重略狭，砚侧阴刻楷书铭文。砚背阴刻人物图，刀笔遒劲有力，技艺娴熟超然。
董其昌（1555—1636），字玄宰，号思白、香光居士，松江华亭（今上海闵行区马桥）人，明代书画家。万历十七年进士，授翰林院编修，官至南京礼部尚书，卒后谥“文敏”。
