San Francisco de Paula in carved, polychrome and gilded wood, Colonial School S. XVIII. On one side of San Francisco a furnace appears that would allude to the miracle of the furnace on fire. During the construction of the convent of his order, a fire broke out in the kiln where the bricks were baked. Francisco sends all the friars to breakfast and enters the burning furnace that is miraculously repaired and he comes out unharmed. On the other side of the Praying Saint a kneeling woman holds a dead child in her arms. This image would allude to the many miracles of the saint resurrecting children. In the Treaty of the Miracles of Tomás de Celano up to five are noted, all recorded during the thirteenth century so the scene could be any of them or a generic representation. At the top of the scene there are clouds with qurubim and the emblem of the order that founded the "Charitas" Minims. Height ... 44 cms.
