铭文：清节凌秋。 本品取名贵黄花梨为材，整料挖出，琢刻成笔筒，内外包浆自然，可见典型黄花梨“麦穗纹”。海南黄花梨木本身是中药，有一种“降香”味道，香味较浓且清幽温雅;而越南黄花梨香味较淡，闻后略有酸味。外壁阴刻竹纹诗文，其刻刀老辣，以刀带笔，线条劲道，将半写意国画侧峰、中锋用笔尽显，是清朝时期文人画与文房器具的结合。
