signed CUIRUZHUO, inscribed, and with two seals of the artist ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Cui Ruzhuo (born 1944) is a Chinese painter and calligrapher.He has won many awards,and he was found in 2016 to be the fourth most successful living artist based on secondary market sales.Cui studied under the painter and calligrapher Li Kuchan.He then taught at the Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing.Cui moved to the United States in 1981,returning to China in the mid-1990s and mentoring doctoral students at the Chinese National Academy of Art.
