signed DAIBENXIAO, inscribed, and with two seals of the artist dated Gengshen year（1680） ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Dai Benxiao (1621-1691),born in Hezhou (County He in Anhui province now),was a painter in Qing dynasty.He like traveling,and is good at painting mountain and water,besides,he stands to create new principle based on that accumulated stereotypes from ancient people,and stresses taking heaven and earth as true essence and I apply my principles.Most of his works are compiled in volume with small scene.He is specialized in using dry pen and burnt Chinese ink to construct a painting with profound and elegant artistic prospect.
