Lot Note(s): Signed in pencil, lower right recto; annotated 'VI' in pencil, upper right corner recto; signed and dated in pencil, verso; annotated with the title in pencil verso; collector ink stamps, verso. Painted on greyish cream wove paper. Very good to fine condition; a few scattered fox marks near the lower edge, recto; uneven top edge; scattered craquelure in white paint areas; else fine. Buchholz was a German artist in painting and printmaking. He was a central figure in the development of non-objective art in Berlin between 1918 and 1924.
