拍品由青铜簠化裁而来，为皇家专为地坛所定制的祭祀用器。《皇朝礼器图示·卷一·祭器一》载“地坛正位簠”，与拍品形制、釉色、纹饰相同，应为此类器烧造母本。 拍品以盖、器相会，器身设对称双兽耳。通体施黄釉，外壁釉下暗刻兼浅浮雕兽面纹，工艺繁褥，别具匠心，气势庄严，为光绪御窑仿古佳器，较为少见。
