Huang Yongyu, born in Fenghuang County, Hunan Province in 1924, is a native of the Tujia nationality. He has received elementary school and incomplete junior high school education. At the age of sixteen, he began to seek Huang Yongyu (1924.7—) under the pen name of Huang Xingbin, Huang Niu, Niu Fuzi, Tujia, from Phoenix, Hunan by using the pen names of Huang Yongyu (1924.7—) to paint sound and color paintings and woodcuts. Good at printmaking and color ink painting. He once engaged in woodcut creation activities in Hong Kong, served as a special script writer for the Great Wall Film Company, and edited the page of the Hong Kong "New Evening News". After 1953, he served as a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Standing director, vice chairman and consultant of China Artists Association.
