Zhao Mengfu (fǔ) (October 20, 1254-July 30, 1322), was named Ziang, Han nationality, named Songxue Taoist, also known as Shujinggong Taoist, Oubo, middle-aged with Meng Fu. Born in Wuxing, Zhejiang (now Huzhou, Zhejiang). The famous calligrapher, painter and poet in the early Yuan Dynasty, the eleventh grandson of Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin, the descendant of Qin Wang Zhao Defang; his father, Zhao Yuxian, served as the minister of households in the Southern Song Dynasty and the solicitor of Zhejiang and Xi'an in Lin'an Prefecture. In the twenty-third year of Yuan Dynasty (1286), Cheng Jufu, a servant at Xingtai, "searched for the relics in the south of the Yangtze River" and introduced Zhao Mengfu to Kublai Khan. Later he was appointed as Jixian direct bachelor. In the twenty-ninth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1292), he served as the chief official of Jinan Road. In the first year of Yuanzheng (1295), he returned to Beijing to repair "Shizu Shilu". In view of the many internal contradictions in Yuan Ting, Zhao Mengfu resorted to illness and begged to return. In particular, calligraphy and painting achieved the highest achievements, creating a new style of painting in the Yuan Dynasty, known as "the crown of the Yuan Dynasty". He is also good at seal, official, Zhen, Xing, and cursive script, and is especially known for his regular script and running script. The style of his book is charming and beautiful, with strict structure and well-rounded brushwork, he created the "Zhao-style" book, which is also called the "Four Masters of Regular Scripts" together with Ouyang Xun, Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan.
