清代时期皇室喜爱寿山石雕，其以整块寿山石雕刻而成，质地细腻，光润莹亮，色呈黄褐，沁色自然，包浆古拙。寿山石是中国三大印石品种之一，其所产石品种种类繁多，色彩绚丽，质地通灵，尤为皇亲贵胄所喜，本品由清代宫廷造办处所制，以染色工艺底座染成绿色，雕刻细致入微，道教人物手执如意，一只鹿伏坐在草丛中，一缕清烟从背后的香炉中冉冉升起，独有一番古拙苍劲的金石韵味。整个雕件，宏观庄重大气，微观精美华丽，皇室气息不言而喻。
