|宋张端义《贵耳集》下载“今之校椅，古之胡床也。自来只有栲栳样，宰执侍从皆用之。因秦师垣（桧）在国忌所，偃仰时坠巾，京尹吴渊奉承时相，出意撰制荷叶托首四十柄，载赴国忌所，遣匠者顷刻添上，凡宰执侍从皆有之，遂号太师样。”明沈德符《万历野获编·玩具物带入号》曰“椅之杯桊联前者，名太师椅。”|太师椅式样并无定式，体形较大，做工精致，设在厅堂上，富贵大气。此套太师椅共四椅，通体为红木材质。造型精致，成套摆设，更显富丽堂皇。
