A late Victorian 9ct gold amethyst and split pearl brooch, designed to depict a crescent and a winged insect.Hallmarks for Chester, 1898.. Length 4.7cms. 1.6gms. No obvious faults other than wear in keeping with age and use. Amethyst medium purplish colour, with in a close-back setting. Split pearls in good to fair condition, fairly well matched.
