观世界形能自在无碍，对苦恼众生能自在拔苦与乐，故称自在观音。此观音呈游戏坐姿于莲花台座之上，左臂肘部支于左侧花几上， 右手自然搭于右膝，相貎慈悲安详，怡然自若。双眼微阖，上眼帘较宽，这是明中晚期汉地造像的特征。鼻形俊俏，唇角微扬。 头戴宝冠，宽肩柔腰，佩戴精致华美的璎珞与钏环，端庄优雅。莲枝在臂胁两侧攀附而上，莲花上分别托法轮与经书。 身着天衣帛带，飘逸缠绕于双肩。此像采用了汉地造像的写实性表现手法，仰覆莲座、莲瓣饱满且刻有卷草纹，铸造精美细致， 尤其小腿部的椭圆形裙褶具有鲜明的明代汉地造像风格特征，颇具明永宣宫廷造像遗风。原为通体漆金，虽有脱落， 但不失精美，为明中晚期中原造像佳作。
