A pair of 19th century French gilt bronze mounted marble cassolettes in the Louis XVI style the swept shallow urn bodies with domed covers with fruiting knopped finials reversing to fluted cylindrical nozzles, the swept tripod supports with scrolling horned Bacchus mask terminals on acanthus cloven hoof feet, the central connecting girdle centred by a tapering spiral support on corresponding platform bases and beaded toupie feet, both covers as found, 35cm high overall (2) Footnotes: Provenance: Purchased Dr to M.
