A mid 19th century gold emerald and diamond snake necklace.Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct, G-H colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Later Dutch marks, stamped 585. Length 43.5cms. 32.7gms. Overall condition good. General light to moderate marks and wear in keeping with age. Some sections of the chain possibly with some minor repair work. Full wearable length is approximately 43.5cms. Full length including head and drop approxiamtely 48cms. Diamonds well matched. Diamonds are old-cuts. Diamonds bright. Some diamonds with small nicks and cavities. Emeralds are a well matched medium slightly bluish green hue, well saturated, with good clarity and some typical inclusions. Emeralds generally in good condition, some with small nicks and abrasions.
