拍品外壁所绘故事图与故宫博物院藏清顺治青花武士图筒瓶一致，取材于明代版画《李卓吾批评幽闺记》其中一幕。一面绘武士身穿盔甲，腰悬宝剑，双目凝视远方，神态装扮皆为儒将，侍从紧随其后，身旁备好鞍的战马低头吃草，空中绘有月亮、北斗七星及流云，呈现出一副即将踏上征程的经典场面。笔筒直筒形制，器型修长，胎坚厚实，釉色亮白，莹润可人。口沿及近足处暗刻卷枝纹，俗称“暗花边”，全器绘画精工，笔法娴熟、人物描绘意气风发，神态逼真，栩栩如生，青花发色明快亮丽，为明代崇祯时期佳作。
