玉兰象征高贵、雅致的品行，又有冰清玉洁的高贵意象，诗曰：「翠红翼翼宝坊闲，曾入瑶宫白玉兰」。乾隆亦曾赞玉兰：「桃魂杏魄逐香尘，玉树临风尚占春。」因此，玉兰花形象常被用于文房陈设。此件玉兰花插三朵花头，掏膛作花插容器，精巧之中透出灵秀。底部以镂雕枝叶将花朵缠绕，枝干打磨极见功力，既见遒劲之势，又具白玉质感。整器取材奢侈，呈上大下小状，花瓣翻卷，片片分明，两只鹊鸟于上，更添生机。美玉精工，实为难得，原配红木座，是文房陈设佳器。来源：2011年11月9日，伦敦苏富比，Lot.300
