|韦驮菩萨，又称韦陀天，梵名音译为私建陀提婆，意为阴天，原是印度婆罗门教的天神，为四天王座下三十二将之首，后来归化为佛教的护法天神，是佛教中护法金刚力士的代表之一。相传在释迦佛入涅时，邪魔把佛的遗骨抢走，韦陀及时追赶，奋力夺回。因此佛教便把他作为驱除邪魔，保护佛法的天神。
