画案以柞榛木为材，柞榛木成大料者甚少，此画案侧面牙板，尺寸较大，纹理生动富于变化，细节考究。标准格角攒框面板，冰盘沿，抹头上部打洼，中间起混面，至底压窄边，线脚丰富。牙条透雕变形拐子龙纹，身躯曲折变化，相互迭压。排列井然有序，繁而不乱，玲珑剔透，线条讲究内凹打洼，精湛的装饰手法。方材腿足看面内凹压窄边线。腿足间装饰素劵口档板，留出大量的空间。搭配镂空螭龙纹使整器极具透视效果。用于书房，极富古朴雅韵。
