此壶为银胎，器身以铁打出工艺成型。“铁打出”之技始于江户时期，即仅以一块铁片，将作品全貌以锤打方式来完成。这个过程中，需要将铁片不断反复加热后锤打、延伸，除了厚度均壹，更要拿捏各个细部的锤打力道，以及弯曲连接处的成形处理，一不小心就可能前功尽弃。由于铁的延展性是所有金属中最低的，其难度几为金工之绝。此壶器身浑圆，壶嘴短直，壶壁以铁打出工艺饰浮雕山水茅舍图，古韵盎然，实为精妙。
