牛舌形，通体涂金，富丽璀璨，凸雕盘龙，镂刻精细，鳞须宛然，肢爪矫健，栩栩如生，满饰云纹。面识“青麟髓”，填青，墨背阳识“古歙曹素功监制”。古人制墨中加入龙脑、麟髓（或为鲸鱼的脂髓），故后人将墨别称为麟髓等名。此墨质地细润，精光迸射，传世不多见，实非凡品。
