款识：卢葵生制砚囊题签： □□□先生藏□□砚。天字第十三品乙未长至日，湖云老人。 漆砂砚以木材为胎骨，大漆调入极细沙粒髹成砚面，胎质轻巧，坚细耐磨，轻便易携，为砚中别格。此砚为漆砂制，做成荷叶形，形制静雅别致。配镶嵌荷塘纹漆盒。 作者简介： 卢葵生（？～1850），名栋，字葵生，江苏扬州人。世代漆工，以漆砂制法名重一时。制作文玩器具，多种多样，造型精致，技艺高超。所制器物今北京故宫博物院多有收藏。
