Reginald Hallward (1858-1948) An extensive landscape oil on canvas 56 x 66cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which is unlined with an artists’ supplier stamp for Roberson & Co. on the reverse. The canvas tension is good. The canvas has been reused and cut down. On the tacking edges folded around the back of the stretcher are elements of a previous composition, also a landscape but with much brighter tones. The paint layer is in a good condition overall. At the lower left hand there has been an impact from the reverse, causing minor cracking and lifting to the paint layer. There are a few scuffs and scratches across the surface, at the upper left side one scratch has been retouched. The varnish is even and glossy.
