Thomas Binks (1799-1852) A cutter, a steamboat and other shipping off the coast signed and dated 'Binks 1829' l.r., oil on panel 41 x 59cm Condition report: Oil on wooden panel. The panel is formed from one board and appears to be a section of reused wood. The panel is in plane and the paint layers are in a good, stable condition. There are areas of overpaint across the surface, mainly covering wear and small damages. The overpaint is fairly well matched to the original. The varnish is semi-matte and slightly even but acceptable.
