本器原为青磁刻花纹荷叶盖罐，罐盖已佚。
罐身敞口，丰肩，鼓腹，下足收敛，造型规整。肩腹部通体刻牡丹花纹，下腹至圈足处刻画一周竖条纹装饰。垫圈支烧处露胎呈香灰色，底足施赭红色护胎釉。
整体胎厚质坚，釉色莹润，纹样线条优雅，布局合理匀称，灵活运用了刻、画、刮、削等技艺，刻划流畅，技法娴熟，工艺考究，精美大方，是一件不可多得的艺术珍品。
