A late 19th century gold agate cameo brooch, depicting a lady in profile, embellished with gold hair accessories and gem-set necklace. One gem deficient. Length 3.7cms. 17.8gms. Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. One gem deficent. Lady was once wearing an earring. carving is in good condition. Towards top of the cameo panel, there is a fairly noticeable crack. Residue can be seen beneath hair piece. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Replacement brooch fittings. Width 3.4cms.
