A late 19th century gold sapphire and old-cut diamond dress ring.Estimated total diamond weight 1.25cts, I-K colour, SI1-P1 clarity.Ring size N. 4gms. Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band shows evidence of repair/ resize. Some gems possibly later replacements, few settings with worn / deficient claws, stones are currently secure. Diamonds fairly well matched in clarity, varying in colour. Diamonds bright and lively, few with minor nicks, two with sizeable chips to facets. Sapphires are fairly well matched, medium and deep blue hues, well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions. Sapphires are in fair condition with some abrasion and few nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Length of ring head 1.2cms. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
