题识：可怜无知己，伯乐在何时丁卯癫生画铃印：金石：沧生（大沧瓷板一般金石为—粟、大沧。沧生金石极少使用，可见此板为汪大沧得意之作）。 汪大沧（1899-1953），字沧生，号一粟，别号桃源老农、甫艺。安徽伙县人。尤擅以秃笔绘画粉彩山水，用笔简练、豪放浑厚，专以细笔精描取胜，其笔墨独树一帜，为秃笔山水堪称一绝。是民国时期与珠山八友齐名的最杰出的陶瓷画家之一.此瓷板《可怜无知己，伯乐在何时》作品创作于1927年，由于时局动荡，陶业学院解散，王大沧深感怀才不遇，前途暗淡，心情郁结之下性情所绘。
