The subject of this artwork is repeated in different works which are often referred to as ""Il molo"" (Pier in English). The second part of the title (Piet) refers to the artist Piet Mondrian as a tribute to one of Boetti's favorite artsts. The central white part represents a broken mirror, coming from his studio, with a pier that fits into a colored area with the blue pen that represents, as well as in the external area, the North Sea that recalls the land of origin of Mondrian ..
