清沈玉《秋阴杂记》载：“鼻烟壶起于本朝，其始止行八旗并士大夫，近日贩夫牧童无不握此壶……”由此不难看出，鼻烟壶在清代的繁荣。此鼻烟壶扁瓶形，圆口、直颈、椭圆形圈足。壶体两面粉彩绘钟馗绘嫁妹神话故事。人物神态生动，色彩淡雅舒目。 “钟馗嫁妹”为古代瓷器绘画和戏剧的一个重要题材，是中国百姓喜闻乐见的图像。
