The old label refers to David Messum, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, where it was acquired by the vendor's father. Condition report: Canvas has been relined. Examination under UV shows minor re-touches in places and more extensive overpainting to the skirt, the frame has a few chips. Old labels to the reverse.
