22 kt Gelbgold. A pair of ancient Greek earrings comprised of several parts decorated in filigree and granulation. The disc shaped studs decorated with concentric scrolls surrounded by braided borders set with garnet plaques. The five-part droplets suspended from chains with garnet beads and designed as vases entwined by fine gold wire decorated with large hollow beads and crowned by palmette motifs. 8 cm. Total weight 32.99 g. Probably Ionian, second half 4th C. B.C.
