CLOCK WITH A CERES CHARIOT PULLED BY WINGED DRAGONS. Dial signed Hahn, mechanical clockmaker in Paris. Attributed to Christian Gottfried Hahn (1769- after 1837) clockmaker active in Paris from 1812 to 1830 and son of the famous inventor Philipp Matthäus Hahn (1739- 1790). Empire period. The movement indicates the hours, minutes, dates of the month and has a second hand that beats the half second. It is equipped with a heavy balance wheel with knife suspension. Very finely chased bronze, patinated and gilded with original mercury. Incomparable masterpiece of clock-making having been part of one of the flagship clocks, exhibited for a long time in the François Duesberg Museum. H: 62 x W: 54 x D: 16.3 cm. Cadran signé Hahn horloger mécanicien à Paris. Attribuée à Christian Gottfried Hahn (1769- après 1837) horloger mécanicien actif à Paris de 1812 à 1830 et fils du célèbre inventeur Philipp Matthäus Hahn(1739- 1790). Epoque Empire. Le mouvement indique les heures, les minutes, les quantièmes du mois et possède une trotteuse qui bat la demi seconde. Il est muni d’un lourd balancier avec suspension au couteau. Bronze très finement ciselé, patiné et doré au mercure d’origine. Chef d’œuvre d’horlogerie incomparable ayant fait partie d’une des pendules phares, exposée longtemps au musée François Duesberg.
