持卷观音为众多观音造像中最为贴近文人审美的造型题材，其手中的经卷应为华严经，《华严经》，具名《大方广佛华严经》，另称《杂华经》。是佛成道后在菩提场等处，藉普贤、文殊诸大菩萨显示佛陀的因行果德如杂华庄严，广大圆满、无尽无碍妙旨的要典。此对观音外罩五彩法衣，衣纹饰缠枝莲花，内着罗裙，有竹梅纹样，颇具文人风骨。立于云台之上，头戴风帽，衣纹飘洒自如，手持经卷面容恬静怡然，契合文人追求的洒脱出世之境界。保存完好，工艺精湛，成对出现尤为难得。
