Y IVORY OKIMONO OF A POULTERER MEIJI PERIOD depicting a figure holding a woven basket covered with a peony and butterfly-decorated cloth, the man looks down in benevolent expression towards a hen followed by four chicks, the hen finely detailed with feathers and the man's clothes incised with chequered pattern, all above a circular plinth detailed with undulating surface, underneath a lacquered maker's mark 'Munehiro' above a double-squares mark (Dimensions: 12cm high) (Qty: 1) (12cm high) Qty: (1) Footnote: Provenance: The Late Dr Helen E C Cargill Thompson (1933-2020).
