The first, of pear shape with four faceted sides rising from a spreading foot to an everted rectangular mouth, the shoulder molded with twin beast masks suspending rings, the body decorated with large opposing panels of birds and flowers, reserved on a scrolling ground with floral sprigs, the recessed base with a six-character mark; the second, of ovoid form raised on a short splayed foot and surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck and flared mouth, the body embellished with leafy gnarled branches issuing peony blooms, the base with a four-character mark. {Height of the first: 12 1/4 inches (31.1 cm)}.
